Gregg fell in love with LEADER as a part-time chauffeur. Now, service and peace of mind is his career – meet Gregg Jackson
What brought you to Kansas City? I was born in Grandview and studied communications at UMKC, so naturally, Kansas City is more than just my home. It’s my favorite topic of conversation.
Tell us about your family. My mom and dad are still in Grandview. Somewhere along the way, my sister moved to St. Louis. But, we don’t hold that against her. It makes for some fun rivalry.
What did you do before you joined LEADER? After getting my bachelors I went to work for a local printing company. I was a purchasing manager and press room scheduler. So, you might say, I helped them out with logistics.
What do you like most about working for LEADER? It’s always an adventure and everyday is different. I’m not the type to sit in an office all day. I love being outside and meeting new people. Working in the luxury travel industry you learn a lot about people and different parts of the world. It helps, also, that I like being responsible and showing up on time.
What is your favorite activity when you aren’t working for LEADER? I’ve been in bands my whole life. Currently, I’ve got this group of guys to play music with but I wouldn’t call it a “band” per se. We don’t have a name or anything. We just get together and play covers and it keeps my set playing skills sharp. You know, in case the Stones need help when they are in town.
What is your number one pet peeve? I try not to let things get to me, so there aren’t many to speak of. But, in this job, people who don’t use their turn signals drives me nuts.
Tell us about you, in a few words… Easy-going, laid-back, non-judgemental with a great sense of humor.
