South Beach, Miami: when you think of places to spend a long weekend in October, this should be in your top five. And to meet up in a good location with our great worldwide colleagues and take over the Loews Miami Beach Hotel was certainly our idea of a good time. We enjoyed the 2015 Chauffeur Driven Trade Show & Conference and we were glad to see you there.
This year was particularly exciting because the conference’s emphasis was on core principles of running a successful operation. The level of service we deliver to clients comes from our own focus on learning. Chauffeurs require specialized education and we appreciated the opportunity to share some of what we have learned from 15 years serving Kansas City.
On Sunday of the trade show, LEADER’s CEO Bruce Heinrich was part of an expert panel sharing proven techniques for building an exceptional team. From recruiting and retaining to empowering success through exceptional training, he contributed to the educational focus of the conference. Our success has been only as great as the success of our people, and that’s why the chance to share with our colleagues was so important.
Chauffeur Driven created a one-of-a-kind event for the ground transportation industry. Plus, a global destination like Miami made it easy to engage with leaders from around the world. The conference provided the opportunity for connections deeper than just networking. We spent time with the professionals we trust to take care of our clients when they travel. On our itinerary was the Global Affiliate Forum, as well as the International Meet & Greet where we caught up with our global friends and made some new ones.
Particularly exciting was the keynote from Terry Jones of Travelocity and Kayak. Kansas City is a tech entrepreneur’s town, so we have seen the impact of disruptive technology first hand, in ways both positive and challenging. Jones is an innovator in the travel industry and we enjoyed learning from his expertise. We have learned to focus on delivering quality service and that creating a great experience is what our customers are looking for, regardless of how they connect to it.
The Chauffeur Driven Trade Show & Conference was a memorable and impactful experience. Meeting with our global affiliates to focus on the core principles of success in the travel industry, all while enjoying one of the world’s most beautiful cities, was time well spent.
